Pharaoh Sudoku Privacy Policy

Pharaoh Sudoku does not track, sell, or share personal data. There is no account system, no advertising, no analytics, and no crash-reporting service. Everything you do in the game stays on your device — unless you deliberately switch on the optional public leaderboard, which publishes only a nickname you choose, an anonymous player ID created on your device, and your game statistics. That setting is off by default.

The game does not require an account, login, password, or email address to play. We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.

We do not sell or share any information with third parties, and we do not use data brokers.

If — and only if — you turn on “Share my scores publicly” in Settings, each game you finish is sent to our leaderboard service and shown publicly. What is transmitted:

• The nickname you type (2–16 characters, filtered for offensive content)
• An anonymous player ID randomly generated on your device — not linked to you, your account or your hardware
• Game statistics: difficulty, completion time, score, mistakes, hints and the date

If you report another player, we also store the reported entry, the reason you selected, your anonymous player ID and a timestamp, so moderators can review it and prevent duplicate reports. Blocking a player is stored only on your device.

This data is not used for tracking or advertising, is never sold, and is not linked to your identity. Turn the setting off and nothing further is published. To have an already published entry removed, email us and include the nickname.

To make the game work, Pharaoh Sudoku saves a small amount of information in your browser or device local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not readable by us:

• Current puzzle state, difficulty level, timer, score, hints used, and mistake count
• Daily Puzzle completion history and your streak counter
• Local leaderboard entries, star ratings, and achievement badges
• Your anonymous player ID, chosen nickname, and the list of players you have blocked
• Settings and preferences, such as Highlight Mistakes, reduced-motion mode, install prompt dismissal, and the optional custom site domain

You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser site data, or by deleting the app from your device.

Pharaoh Sudoku contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no behavioral profiling, and no crash- or telemetry-reporting services. The game does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only storage used is the local storage described above, plus an offline cache (service worker) that stores the app's own files so it can run without a connection.

Gameplay itself is fully offline: puzzles are generated on your device and no gameplay data is sent anywhere unless you opt in. Network activity is limited to downloading the app's own files and offline cache from our hosting provider; the optional site-domain availability check; and, only when public sharing is enabled, reading the community leaderboard and publishing the nickname, anonymous player ID and game statistics described above. Leaderboard data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) on our behalf. As with any website, our hosting and backend providers may process standard technical connection data such as IP address for security and delivery purposes.

The game includes an optional link to Pharaohs Pride USA at discover.pharaohsprideusa.com, and may link to our own website. Those sites are governed by their own privacy practices, and standard web browsing data may be collected by the destination site. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of external websites.

Pharaoh Sudoku is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is collected, no children's data is stored, shared, or sold. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate.

We do not operate a user account database, so there are no credentials or personal profiles to breach. Published leaderboard entries (nickname, anonymous player ID, statistics) and moderation records are retained while the leaderboard operates, and are deleted on request. Locally stored game data remains on your device under the protection of your operating system and browser until you clear site data or uninstall the app. The site and app are served over HTTPS.

Public sharing is optional and off until you enable it. You can turn it off at any time, block other players from your device, and clear all game data from your browser or device settings. Contact us with any privacy request, including removal of a published leaderboard entry.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the game after an update means you accept the revised policy.
